January Robinson FNP-C, PMHMP-BC
January Robinson is a dual-certified FNP-C and PMHNP-BC who graduated from DePaul University and University of St. Francis. I have been practicing as an NP since 2008 and have been in the psychiatric field since 2009. I have served multiple communities and clients in need. I briefly lived and worked on Navajo Nation in AZ, I worked with migrant farmworkers and in rural communities in IL doing outreach work both in primary care and in psychiatry. I have worked with residential facilities in the area providing care to clients with Autism and other special needs, those with dementia and chronic illness. I treat patients with treatment resistant depression, bipolar disorder, and PTSD.
I am currently treating patients in person at my Joliet office and via telemedicine using medication management and supportive, IFS-informed psychotherapy for a variety of psychiatric conditions, specializing in treatment resistant depression, PTSD, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, and I also specialized in treating patients who have co-existing autoimmune or other chronic health conditions in addition to their mental health conditions. I collaborate with your health care team so that you get the best outcomes in your treatment. And you are the focus and in charge of your treatment plan. I believe in providing full informed consent and providing you with all of the best treatment options available to you, even if that means providing other helpful resources in the community. I know there is hope. I want to open that door for you and give you the opportunity to feel the very best you can at your own pace.
I frequently order Genesight testing, collaborate with your health care team, obtain lab work when necessary, and obtain previous psychiatric and medical records. I advocate for my clients and understand that navigating the health system can be a challenge.
Please reach out with any questions that you have and I look forward to working with you!
I am trained and certified to provide ketamine assisted therapy in the office setting to patients with treatment resistant conditions using an IFS-informed approach in a fully structured format. I have been providing ketamine services to patients since 2019 via IV, IM, and the FDA-approved Spravato nasal ketamine. More on ketamine assisted therapy is coming soon to my practice.
